Flipperlane (flipperlane.com) publishes furniture painting, refinishing and reselling. Here is what happens to information when you visit, stated as plainly as we can manage.

The Mailing List

Email goes only to people who asked for it, verified by a double opt-in step. Each send includes an unsubscribe link and a postal address, and unsubscribing takes effect straight away.

Exercising Your Rights

Rights available to you may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and opting out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. The GDPR covers UK and EU readers; the CCPA/CPRA and similar state statutes cover much of the US. We act on Global Privacy Control signals. See Do Not Sell or Share and the State Privacy Notice.

Storage and Safeguards

Storage is time-limited and purpose-limited. Subscriber and comment data goes when you withdraw it; analytics data expires on schedule. The site is served over HTTPS, access to what we hold is restricted, and safeguards are kept proportionate to the data involved. No safeguard is perfect.

Children and Young People

Nothing here is directed at children. The site assumes an adult reader, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 (16 where required), and any such data discovered is deleted promptly.

What We Hold

• Two kinds of information reach us. The first is automatic: standard server and analytics data such as IP address, approximate location, device and browser details, and which pages of flipperlane.com were viewed. The second is whatever you deliberately hand over — a comment, a newsletter signup, or a message you send us.
• Because this site covers furniture painting, refinishing and reselling, one point deserves its own sentence — readers sometimes email photographs of a workshop or a piece they are selling; we use them only to answer the question asked and do not publish or repurpose them without explicit permission.

Purposes: operating flipperlane.com; measuring which of our project walk-throughs and product comparisons draw readers; sending the newsletter to subscribers; and supporting advertising where it is displayed.
