1. As-Is Basis

Content is provided “as is”. Refinishing involves power tools, sharp edges, dust, solvents, and — in pre-1978 pieces — possible lead paint. Manufacturer instructions and safety data sheets always override our descriptions, and resale figures we mention are examples rather than expected earnings. The Disclaimer is essential reading before you start a project.

2. Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Flipperlane is not liable for injury, exposure, property damage, ruined workpieces, or financial loss arising from work you undertake or products you buy after reading this site. You judge whether a task is within your competence.

3. Your Contributions

Comments and any project photos you share remain yours, and you grant Flipperlane a licence to display and moderate them. Advice offered by other readers in the comments is their own — we do not verify it, and it should be weighed with the same caution as anything else. We remove spam, abuse, and unsafe instructions, and we may close comments on older posts.

4. Updating These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any point; the date above marks the current version, and continuing to use the site is how you accept a revision.

5. Leaving This Site

Links to tool retailers, paint brands, and marketplaces are for convenience. We do not control their products, stock, pricing, or policies, and dealings with them are yours alone.

6. Material on This Site

Project write-ups, step photographs, before-and-after images, and the design of this site are owned by Flipperlane or licensed to us. Techniques themselves are common property of the trade; our specific text and images are not. Brief quotation with a link back is welcome, republication is not.

7. Site Usage

Flipperlane publishes furniture painting and refinishing tutorials, product reviews, sourcing tips, and articles about reselling restored pieces. Everything is written for general information and personal, non-commercial reading. You may follow a tutorial in your own workshop, including on pieces you intend to sell. You may not republish our tutorials, reproduce our project photography, or extract the site’s content automatically.

8. Affiliate and Ad Links
